original—and very popular—34 PC built during 1991–2002. The
styling is updated and so are the cabin and cockpit layouts, and
swimmers will appreciate the extended swim platform of the new
34. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with slightly less beam than her
predecessor, the Formula sleeps six in a midcabin floorplan typical
of express boats this size. Privacy curtains separate both sleeping
areas from the main cabin, and a luxurious Ultraleather lounge in
the salon converts to a double berth for extra guests. This is a very
inviting layout with good headroom, high-gloss cherry joinery,
and vinyl overheads. The galley is notable for its concealed stove,
generous storage, and Corian counters. Cockpit seating includes a
double helm seat, a U-shaped settee aft, and a bench seat opposite
the helm. A wet bar is standard, and molded steps beside the
companionway lead up to the windshield walk-through. Additional
features include a reverse radar arch, power engine hatch lift, and
transom storage locker. Twin 320hp MerCruiser Bravo III I/Os
cruise in the mid 20s and top out at over 35 knots.
